VIVE Ultimate Tracker

Paired with two high field-of-view cameras, VIVE Ultimate Tracker doesn't require the need to be seen by a headset or external sensors. Developed to be unrestricted, the OpenXR-supported tracker is fully compatible with VIVE XR Elite and VIVE Focus 3. You can connect up to five trackers per headset or PC via Wireless Dongle.

Beta support for third-party SteamVR-compatible PC VR headsets is now available.¹ VIVE Wireless Dongle required for use. Sold separately.

VIVE Wireless Dongle

The VIVE Ultimate Tracker connects to the VIVE Wireless Dongle using a proprietary 2.4GHz radio frequency (RF) to cut through noisy wireless bands. The wireless dongle supports up to five trackers per headset or PC.

1. VIVE Ultimate Tracker requires a VIVE Wireless Dongle to connect with compatible devices, which currently include VIVE XR Elite, VIVE Focus 3, and, through our beta program, third-party PC VR headsets via SteamVR. VIVE Wireless Dongle and compatible devices sold separately. Each VIVE Wireless Dongle can connect with one to five (1–5) VIVE Ultimate Trackers.

2. Using the VIVE Ultimate Tracker in extreme environments, such as those with low light or direct sunlight, is not recommended.

3. Play area size and conditions dependent on VR headset. For safety reasons, the play area should measure at least 3 m x 3 m, and a distance of 1.5 m should be kept from any obstacles.

4. Battery life is an estimate and varies with use.

5. For optimal performance, the VR headset paired with VIVE Ultimate Tracker should also be connected to 5 GHz Wi-Fi.

^**Tracker data sharing distance is dependent on 2.4GHz environment.
